Meet Russell.

Having hunted down a fitter & turner apprenticeship straight out of high school, Russell earned his trade working long hours in fabrication, mechanical engineering and toolmaking workshops across Brisbane. 

After 12 years on the tools, Russell left the workshop floor and started working in preventative maintenance, technical purchasing, logistics, training and quality assurance.  With a desire to learn and a passion for excellence, Russell continued to build momentum, receiving training and growing in experience, tackling any task or role thrown his way. 

In 2008 Russell joined a mining and industrial services company, servicing building, construction and mining clients across NSW & QLD.  Working as an improvement manager both internally and at the front line of operations, Russell forged forward working from project to project within the large Group of Companies, working in variety of management roles.

Late in 2014, after twenty odd years of being a tradie, an innovator, a manager and a leader within other people’s businesses, Russell birthed Upright and hasn’t looked back since.

Russell loves anything that involves adventure and the great outdoors.  He also enjoys quality coffee, meeting new people and isn’t shy when it comes to having a chat! 

Russell lives and works from the beautiful Redlands Coast region, on the outskirts of Brisbane, with his wife and two teenage children.
